Selecting your artwork

Please choose thoughtfully before making a purchase. Artisan & Kin does not offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect selections. In certain cases, exchanges may be permitted at the sole discretion of Artisan & Kin, depending on product availability and subject to reasonable conditions. 

Artisan & Kin is not responsible for refunds or replacements for items damaged due to misuse or lack of reasonable care.

Prices

All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include a 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST), unless otherwise stated. Prices listed on our site are subject to change at any time without notice, including increases for promotions, discounts, or errors in pricing. The final price displayed at checkout is the correct price and will be shown at the time of your purchase. Prices seen on the Website may vary from those advertised elsewhere by third parties.

If a product is listed at an incorrect price (because of information on the site or a typographical or other mistake), Artisan & Kin reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. If this has occurred and payment has been partially or fully processed, Artisan & Kin will issue a full refund.

Artisan & Kin reserves the right to change pricing at its sole discretion, including offering different prices to wholesale partners. Any offers will be time-bound, volume-limited, or promotional conditions as accepted.

Product appearance

Artisan & Kin makes every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and pricing on the Website are as accurate as possible. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy of product colours or finishes shown on screen. Variations may occur depending on monitor display. Please refer to product descriptions for more accurate details. 

Artisan & Kin reserves the right to modify product descriptions, availability, and pricing without notice. All efforts are made to keep all information updated to the highest standard. Artisan & Kin does not guarantee nor make any representations regarding the quality of the products or services provided by those third parties. 

Framing

Artisan & Kin offers framing services through affiliated third-party partners at customer request. While we aim to ensure these services are delivered to a high standard, Artisan & Kin does not assume nor make any representations regarding the quality of the products or services provided by those third parties.

Orders

Placing an order via our site or form of order confirmation does not signify Artisan & Kin’s acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute a confirmation of the order. Artisan & Kin reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept or decline your order, or cancel, delay/alter, or vary your order for any reason – regardless of whether payment has been processed. In the event your order is declined or limited, any amount paid will be refunded accordingly.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are over 18 years of age
  • All information provided to Artisan & Kin is true and accurate
  • You are authorised to use the payment method and have sufficient funds to complete the purchase
  • You understand that pricing or exchange rates may vary, and all charges are subject to those fluctuations

Once checkout of your order, you will receive a confirmation email. This confirmation supersedes all prior communication (verbal, written or visual) regarding your order. A second email will be sent once your order has been dispatched.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of placing your order online. Artisan & Kin uses third-party providers, including but not limited to AfterPay and PayPal, to process payments via the Website. It is your responsibility to review and comply with the rules and conditions set by these third-party services.

All payment-related issues must be resolved directly with the relevant payment provider. Artisan & Kin is not liable for any errors or issues arising from payment processing, nor for any loss or damage—direct or indirect—that may result from unauthorised or fraudulent use of a customer’s credit card.

Shipping

As Artisan & Kin relies on third-party logistics and shipping companies to deliver orders, we cannot guarantee specific delivery timeframes. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable period, please contact us. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artisan & Kin is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged goods, or any issues resulting from delayed delivery. Please note that Artisan & Kin is not responsible for international shipping delays caused by customs clearance or inspection.

If there are any issues or damage upon receiving your items, please provide written details when placing your order.

Returns and Damaged or Faulty Items

We aim to deliver our artwork and homewares in perfect condition. In the unlikely event your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at hello@artisanandkin.com within 24 hours of delivery.

Artisan & Kin does not provide refunds or replacements for:

  • Change of mind, incorrect selection, or personal preference
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper handling, failure to care, storage, etc. (such as unrolling art prints and causing damage) or as a result of use
  • We do not offer refunds for any damaged or faulty items. You may be eligible for an exchange or replacement if damage or faulty item meets the criteria

To be eligible, you must:

  • Notify us in writing within 24 hours of receiving your order, include clear supporting photos
  • Return the product in its original condition (no additional damage), including documentation or certificates
  • Include the original invoice with your return
  • Ensure the return is received within 7 days (for Australian customers) and 14 days (for international customers) of notifying us
  • All returned products will be inspected. If the issue is confirmed and within our return policy, we will replace, repair, or offer an equivalent item at our discretion and at our cost
  • We do not offer refunds under any circumstance

We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for items damaged due to misuse or failure to take reasonable care.

Where consumer laws apply and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited at our discretion to the replacement, repair or reimbursement of the product in accordance with those laws.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the artwork, images, materials, and other content available on or through the Website remain the exclusive property of Artisan & Kin. This includes, but is not limited to, the domain name, product designs, and website content. Purchasing a product does not grant the right to reproduce, publish, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Website.

You acknowledge that all intellectual property – whether registered or unregistered – including copyrights, trademarks, and related rights associated with Artisan & Kin products and materials, are the property of Artisan & Kin and/or its licensors. For clarity, purchasing a product from Artisan & Kin does not transfer or release any copyright or intellectual property rights to you.

Linking to the Website

You are welcome to link to the Artisan & Kin Website, provided that it is done in a fair and legal manner and does not harm or take advantage of Artisan & Kin’s reputation. You must not establish a link in any way that suggests an association, approval, or endorsement by Artisan & Kin without prior written consent.

Liability and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artisan & Kin shall not be held liable for any loss, liability, cost, damage, charge, or expense arising from or in connection with your use of the Website or the purchase of any Artisan & Kin products.

While we make every effort to keep the Website operating smoothly, Artisan & Kin is not responsible for, and will not be liable for, any temporary unavailability due to technical issues.

You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless Artisan & Kin, including its directors, employees, contractors, suppliers, affiliates, successors, assigns, service providers, and licensors, from and against any and all liabilities, actions, proceedings, or demands, as well as all related losses, damages, judgments, settlements, expenses, and legal fees.

  • Your violation of any laws, rules or regulations applicable to your use of Artisan & Kin products

Artisan & Kin is committed to protecting your privacy and managing your information in accordance with Australian privacy law. Any personal information collected is used solely for order fulfilment or customer support. We do not sell, rent, or share any identifiable information with third parties unless required by law.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. By using this Website, you irrevocably agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for the resolution of any disputes arising in connection with these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of your order or communication will apply.
